McKNIGHT, Rev. Murray Jackson (June 3, 1934 – February 13, 2023)

Murray was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 13th, in his 89th year, after a long struggle with Alzheimers. He was deeply loved by his wife & best friend, Darlene. Cherished father of Joelle (Doug) Pember, Glenn (Erika) McKnight, Esther (Kevin) Schultz, Karen (Shawn) Hotchkiss; stepdad to Marty (Janet) Southin & Cheryl (Dwight) Ricker, 12 grandchildren & 2 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents & sister Norma Horner (Hugh). Survived by his brother Wayne McKnight. Murray pastored churches (Wesleyan & Baptist) for 40 plus years and in retirement did volunteer chaplaincy at Quinte Gardens Retirement Home. Funeral Service will be held at Hastings Park Bible Church, 36 Harder Drive, Belleville, on Saturday, February 25th, 2023, at 1:30 p.m., with visitation prior from 12 noon until service time. Interment Elmwood Cemetery. Donations in memory of Murray may be made to Hastings Park Missions https://hastingsparkbiblechurch.com or the Alzheimers Society https://alzheimer.ca. Arrangements entrusted to Steele Funeral Home, Moira Street Chapel, Belleville (613-968-2273).
